HAVE YOU SEEN ‘WOLFY” ? He’s a reddish brown pitbull (small for the breed, about 18 inches tall, 30 pounds). He has a few scars on its face, but is very friendly to humans and follows anyone) who lives at the 780… At least he did until Wolfy decided to help himself to a few of Lorraine’s delicious hamburgers (who could blame him, really)… In the commotion, Wolfy has run off and has been missing ever since. If you see him or hear of his whereabouts, please contact Alex email@example.com or the CCVT firstname.lastname@example.org
Otherwise, The Fête des Voisins Solidaires was a success in spite of the rain: Big in China, Fire at Rivky and RUSTED, not to mention local star in the making Bryanna, all sang and played great music, in shall we say, less than ideal conditions. Chef Lorraine cooked up delicious euro dogs and hamburgers as well as a variety of sandwiches on french bread for a hungry crowd. Lorraine’s own lemon-poppy pound cake, Lilli’s colorful fruit brochettes, popcorn, and an assortment of hot and cold beverages rounded off the menu. Almost everything was donated by local merchants (see below for a detailed list of sponsors).
Special thanks to M. Fattal, Jeff Sederoff (ELPRO), to MNA Marguerite Blais, who funded the electric train used for the Jane’s Walk of the Village des Tanneries, to Florence and Sylvie of the CÉDA and to our borough council members and their staff.
Many volunteers contributed to the success of this day: Sunsar, Alex C., Rosa, Jonathan, Ken, André D, Iannick, Jimmy, Tobie, Leila, Aaron, Matt, Guy and the team from Katimavik! Extra Big Thanks to André, Alex D, Robert and Luis who went over and above the call of duty !
But there’s one more thing before it’s over… Many smaller prizes were won on Saturday but the Big Raffle was postponed due to the weather, so Hurry and Buy, Sell, Raise some $$ for local projects!
What are the odds?!
