At The Monument

Funny, I hung around this park in front of Verdun City Hall in the 70’s and there are a zillion crazy stories about what that was like. So last month I was walking through and saw all these young people gathered around the actual monument and I was getting thoughts like,  way to go, folks, your asses are resting on the same spots mine and my friends did on many a momentous occasion, only that was like 45 or more years ago. Had I investigated it would probably turn out they were there for Pokemon or something but it did give me something of a weird proud grandfatherly glow to see young people hanging around my old stomping grounds!! 🙂
