I may have said this before but it bears repeating… I once had a problem photographing something in terms of composition, or maybe it was just attitude, in any case, I advised myself to just go in like Friedlander shooting cacti. And it has very much become a part of my personal aesthetic as I have recently begun shooting the “Printemps” section of what will surely be my visual magnum opus that began last fall with “l’automne.” And, while I cannot say that this massive outdoor studio I have appropriated for myself known as the Verdun Waterfront will remain as the main source for this project as it did in l’automne, it has not eliminated itself so far…stay tuned.
