Stopped in at Parc du Portugal today where people were paying their last respects and remembering Leonard Cohen who lived on this little square just off The Main.
Lots of people filtering through the space every day. It’s a really nice atmosphere, nothing loud, nothing very sad either, just people with a common feeling saying goodbye to an old friend.
I sat in this park this summer taking a break during a long walk and I had no idea Leonard Cohen lived there. Won’t ever forget it now.
In front of his door.
People singing.
Painting a little message.
And the now famous world wide sign.
Thank you for everything, Mr. Cohen!
Leonard Cohen had an amazing talent for writing songs and poetry and performing, but his real talent was that people loved him and he loved them back.
