Snakes To Leave Turcot

Gazoo article from last week talks about brown snakes at Turcot needing to be moved before work begins.
A few years a go a couple of hundred brown snakes were moved on Nun’s Island to an area near the Champlain Bridge where they could live. Not long after some construction trucks pulled up and filled the area in with dirt. Good bye brown snakes. Story was hushed up at the time for some complicated reasons and I did not post about it because I was told the story by a source I respect who requested no publicity. Well, it’s about time that story gets out is all I can say right now. Hope the Turcot brown snakes make it!
