Excellent article by P.J. Sevigny discusses how the new Devimco project will probably still destroy Griffintown. And I agree that towers are a quick death for an area ready to be a mecca for families, artists, and cultural production. Montreal was always thought of as the Paris of North America, as Judith Bauer implies in the article, but we seem hell bent on building dull, generic neighborhoods that have not worked well in other cities. Why must we continue to keep imitating other city’s mistakes?
