City Council Live And On Twitter

Gazette article discusses live internet broadcasts of city council meetings. This is one small step towards transparency and seems more like a Projet Montreal idea than that of M. Tremblay.

There is also an addicting Twitter feed for the City Council meetings – just go to Twitter and search for hashtag, #cmmtl . I was surprised at how nicely that works, constant updates with comments by the viewers. There is a really cool interactive and “live” kind of feel to it.

Monday’s city council meeting is to start at 7 p.m. Spectators can access the city’s website at ville.montreal.qc.ca, where a link to the webcast will be provided.
