What is the timeline for the demolition? Is there anyone organized in opposition? (Sorry if you’ve already mentioned those things. For some reason I only now realized what was happening.)
It’s not a straightforward deal. They will probably begin construction of the new interchange in 2009 with this interchange to be demolished in 2013 or something like that. They will decontaminate the yards first which might start in 2008.
There is one group that wants to make a park with a lake but I don’t know of any organized opposition per se.
Maybe I ought to start something……
