The Lying Down Game

Group on Facebook has over 29,000 members and this is not even a trend yet. I love this project! I wonder if people are doing this in Montreal? Anyone want to lie down at Turcot Yards with me?

  1. OH. MY. GAWD. !!! I have *NEVER* in my life seen anything so cool! My soul was dead before this meme came around. A black empty pool of horror from which I am now saved! It’s as if Mohammed and Jesus met up with Buddha and they all came over to my house and we all did acid. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I LOVE YOU FOREVER. I CAN AND WILL DIE NOW.

If sarcasm had mass, this comment would have passed the Chandrasekhar limit and would have collapsed to produce a gravitational field from which even light could not escape.

      An internet to you.

  4. Face Down huh…:-d I’m getting too old for this kind of thing. … But I suppose I’d be willing to ‘take one for the team’ if it ever comes to pass!

  5. Hopefully, it won’t come to that, Jody:P!

Well, it sure looks like we are gathering a little army of lie downers here in Montreal, time and place anyone? My place is very awkward but could be worth the extra effort!

  6. What about Sunday early afternoon-ish? Maybe just meet somewhere outside? I’m not really familiar with the city yet, so I can’t suggest a place…

  8. I am totally down. I’ve got to be gone by 5:45 or so because I have somewhere else to be, so I’d be most appreciative if we could do this ultimately ridiculous thing earlier in the afternoon.

  9. How fuckin stupid do you gotta be?

This is a meme? a sport?

Looks like more future darwin award winners at work to me.

  10. >> This could be fun in a big group

Yeah, like Spencer Tunic …with clothes on.

But his shoots are a lot more fun (and much colder!).

(-google it if you don’t know the ref.)

  11. Haha! That’s fantastic!

Oh, when you think of all the possibilities social media has, and realise 95% of what’s going on is stuff like this… Beautiful!

  12. This looks like an extension of the “playing dead” meme, where entire rooms of people would just… play dead, in a room, draped over furniture and in lockers, in strange positions and all. It was really popular in Japan, I think.

  13. Brisbane Australia get in touch. Meet at Queens park, city, midday, first Saturday of month. Group lie down or…?

    • Brisbane- first attempt flunked – the gay and lesbian meeting got in the way. 2nd attempt was just me. Let’s have a go at October – first Saturday, noon. See you there.

  15. You people must have a lot of time on your hands to think of some of the crazy things that go on in this world. If it makes you happy do it

  16. yawn…
    and here we go again…
why is it that people are trying to be “interesting” by creating … yet again… another hype…
    it’s all so dAmn boring.

  17. Good. Got into politics since I last saw you, heh heh. Going against those who play “The Lying Game”, it’s interesting, good time for learning and growing….

By the way, I listened to one of Voodoo Economics albums a few times, you guys are really, really good!

  19. I have got to play this game! ❤

It's so random and awesome. and looks like it could be the most enjoyable when played in public. I might try it in a restaurant… on a table… with people I don't know. I can't wait! xD
