They decided to build a massive interchange that would be capable of handling traffic when the population is doubled over the next 20 years or so.

Dallas also has the upcoming Project Pegasus which is very big on the “greening” of urban highway systems as you can see in this design

I went to Dallas for the first time over Xmas & was quite amazed with the interstate system. Parts of it are so high! It definetly wouldn’t be a place for a person with a fear of heights! I am not afraid of heights myself but was wishing I had taken the highest part just to see how high it must have looked from the top!
